Health and Welfare Ministry
The Health and Welfare Ministries team considers ways to expand services to meet the needs of our congregation and community. Team members have begun to visit patients in health care facilities. We encourage members who live alone and have health care issues to call the church office if they need someone to help problem-solve their situation. The office will then contact a Health and Welfare team member who will follow up on their request. The team provides brochures and resource materials for seniors and their families. A nurse takes blood pressures at Young at Heart gatherings. The team also promotes participation in local Health Fairs and Screenings. A church member pharmacist gives annual flu vaccine at our church site. Team members include: Jo Ann Mason, Kathie Sinclair, Virginia Blackmon, Ann Nichols, and Sharrie Wallace.
