Description

To Mary Magdalene: Mary stood outside the tomb, weeping. She saw two angels and then Jesus, whom she mistook for the gardener. Jesus asked her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”

Mary responded, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” Mary recognized Him and exclaimed, Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). Jesus instructed her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” (John 20:11-17) 1 .

To the Travelers on the Road to Emmaus: Two men were walking to Emmaus, discussing recent events. Jesus joined their conversation, but their eyes were restrained, and they did not recognize Him.

Jesus asked, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” He then explained the Scriptures concerning Himself, starting from Moses and the Prophets. Later, as they sat at a table, Jesus took bread, blessed it, and gave it to them

These interactions reveal His deep understanding and compassion for His followers. To His Disciples: Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection.

He said, “Peace be with you,” emphasizing reconciliation and calmness

He commissioned them, saying, “As the Father has sent Me, so I am sending you”

Jesus breathed on them, saying, “Receive the Holy Spirit”

To Thomas, who doubted, He said, “Stop doubting and believe”

Lastly, He declared, “Blessed are those who have not seen, yet have believed”

These post-resurrection words of Jesus carry immense significance, conveying hope, purpose, and the transformative power of faith.
