2024 Information for Lenten Lunches Grace UMC would like to extend a warm invitation for you to join us for our annual Lenten Services followed by lunch! The Community Lenten Services will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 14th at 12:00 noon followed by the traditional lunch in the Fellowship Hall. The cost of each lunch is $10.00. Take-out lunches will NOT be available. The services and lunches will continue through Wednesday, March 27th.
Wed. Feb.14 – Ash Wednesday Speaker - Rev. Lee Phillips of Grace United Methodist Church will deliver the Ash Wednesday message. He will be assisted by Rev. Merritt Wentz of Duncan Acres and Bethel United Methodist Churches in the Imposition of the Ashes. Menu-Tomato Bisque soup, ham & cheese sandwiches, chips, crackers, cupcakes/ice cream, tea and coffee.
Wed. Feb.21 Speaker – Rev. Juanita Giles from New Breed Evangelical Church Menu - Pork Loin, sweet potato casserole, Asian slaw, dessert, rolls, tea & coffee.
Wed. Feb.28 Speaker – Rev. Mary Schumpert Nichols from Whitmire United Methodist Church Menu - Marinated Chicken Breast, stuffing, broccoli salad, rolls, dessert, tea & coffee.
Wed. March 6 Speaker – Rev. Ed Traxler from Bogansville United Methodist Church Menu - Spaghetti & Meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert, tea & coffee. Wed.
March 13 Speaker -Dr. Steve Lemons from Cane Creek Presbyterian and Union Presbyterian Churches Menu - Hotdogs, chili, baked beans, cole slaw, chips, brownies, tea & coffee.
Wed. March 20 Speaker - Rev. Merritt Wentz of Duncan Acres and Bethel United Methodist Churches Menu - Potato Soup w/bacon crumbles, pimiento cheese sandwiches, chips, dessert, & coffee.
