After a two-year absence, Salkehatchie’s Summer Camps are again resuming. Union is pleased to be one of 13 camps this summer, although not all the camps are resuming yet. The Salkehatchie youth will arrive in Union at Sims Middle School where they will reside on Saturday, June 18th, spend a week helping repair homes in the Union area, and then return home on June 25th. As of this printing, Union has around 30 youth participating, but Don Brown, the director, hopes 60 will actually sign-up for Union. Also, Karen Hibbard has been hard-at-work planning the meals, acquiring an extra bus, and preparing for the adult leader meeting
